The purpose of this investigation is to determine if adding an isolated cylinder the domain can improve forced convection in laminar case sudden expansion flow a two-dimensional channel. range Reynolds number (1-200) and prattle 0.71, impact different cross-stream locations (x=10.4,10.8 11.2) circular on flow, thermal properties have been computationally studied (air). COMSOL Multiphysics utilized address governing continuity, Navier-Stokes, energy equation energy, necessary boundary conditions. Although streamline isotherm profiles used describe fields, temperature dependence viscosity conductivity has not taken into account. findings presented here demonstrate improvement peak Nusselt value when comparison unobstructed condition.
